Call of the Wild #0209 The adventures of an unusual dog, part St. Bernard, part Scotch shepherd, forcibly taken to the Klondike gold fields where Buck eventually becomes the leader of a wolf pack. The combination of man and dog against the elements of the then untamed North and the anything-goes adventurous nature of Buck, the protagonist, makes for exciting reading. The important element of the dogs in the life and survival of those adventurers brings suspense and action to the story. Dogs are as important as people and stick together through thick and thin as they face nature.
